Totals Totals Totals
The Totals, Totals, Totals report (page title Store Totals) puts every store location side by side for the period you choose — sales, profit, margin, inventory adjustments, and receiving, one row per store with a grand-total row at the bottom. It's the go-to report for comparing locations. Find it under Reports → Sales → Totals, Totals, Totals (the link appears on multi-store accounts).
Columns on the Totals Totals Totals report
- Store — the store name; click it (or the Sales $ figure) to open the Items report
- Qty — quantity of items sold
- # Sales — number of receipts
- Sales $ — dollar sales
- % — the store's share of total sales
- Cost — cost of the items sold
- Profit $ — Sales $ minus Cost
- % — the store's share of total profit
- Mrgn — margin percent, calculated excluding labor/fee items so service work doesn't inflate merchandise margin
When All Divisions is selected, these additional columns appear (they are hidden when a single division is chosen, because adjustments aren't tied to a division):
- Adjust $ — cost of inventory variance adjustments (shrink, damage, counts) for the period; click it to open the Adjustments report for that store
- % (of Sales) — adjustments as a percent of sales
- Net Profit — Profit $ plus Adjust $ (profit after inventory adjustments)
- Net Margin — net margin percent; excludes service revenue
- Receive — cost of inventory received in the period, net of transfers
- Transfer — cost of inventory transferred between stores
Some accounts are additionally configured by VMX to show tax columns (Taxable, Non-taxable, Tax, %) — contact help@vmxllc.com if you'd like tax figures on this report.
