Receipts Emailed/Printed

The Receipts Emailed/Printed report answers the question: how are our receipts getting to customers? For every receipt in a date range it checks whether the receipt was printed, emailed, both, or neither, and rolls the results up by store. It's the report to watch if you're pushing email receipts (to capture customer email addresses or cut paper use) and want to see whether cashiers are actually offering them.

Find it at Reports → Registers → Receipts Emailed/Printed.

Running the Receipts Emailed/Printed report

  1. Go to Reports → Registers → Receipts Emailed/Printed. It opens showing today.
  2. Set the From and To date boxes for the period you want.
  3. Leave Show detail unchecked for the per-store summary, or check it for one row per receipt (see below).
  4. Click View.

The report covers receipts dated within the range. Prints and emails are counted whenever they happened — so a receipt rung during the range and emailed to the customer a week later still counts as emailed.

Summary view: per-store counts and percentages

With Show detail unchecked, you get one row per store. The column headers appear as follows:

Column Meaning
name The store name.
numReceipts Total receipts at that store in the date range.
numPrinted Receipts that were printed at least once.
percentPrinted numPrinted as a percent of numReceipts.
numEmailed Receipts that were emailed at least once.
percentEmailed numEmailed as a percent of numReceipts.
numNone Receipts that were never printed and never emailed.
percentNone numNone as a percent of numReceipts.
numBoth Receipts that were printed exactly once and emailed exactly once.
percentBoth numBoth as a percent of numReceipts.

Note the numBoth fine print: a receipt that was, say, printed twice and emailed once is counted in numPrinted and numEmailed, but not in numBoth — the Both bucket only counts receipts with exactly one print and exactly one email.

Detail view: one row per receipt

Check Show detail and click View to see every individual receipt in the range:

Column Meaning
Receipt # The receipt number — click it to open the receipt.
Store The store where the receipt was rung.
Cashier The cashier who rang the sale.
Date Date and time of the receipt.
Total The receipt total (subtotal plus tax).
Customer The customer on the receipt, if one was attached — click the name to open the customer.
Emailed To The email address(es) the receipt was sent to.
Email Date When the receipt was (most recently) emailed.
Emailed By The employee who sent the email.
Print Date When the receipt was (most recently) printed.
Printed By The employee who printed it.
# Emails How many times the receipt has been emailed.
# Prints How many times the receipt has been printed.
Status Both, Printed, Emailed, or None. In the detail view, Both means at least one print and at least one email.

The detail table is sortable — click any column header — and has a filter row under the headers, so you can, for example, filter Status to None to list receipts that never reached the customer, or filter Cashier to review one employee.
