Register Configuration

The Register Configuration page sets up how this device behaves as a register. Configure your register to meet your store's preferences, then click Save to apply the changes.

  • Register: Select which register this device is.
  • Credit Card: If you process cards through the system, choose which integrated credit card processor this register uses.
  • Printer: Choose what happens when a receipt is printed — select one of your configured receipt printers, or Virtual Printer (prints a small receipt to the screen), Browser (prints a large receipt using your browser popup), or None (do nothing).

Click Preferences to expand these additional settings:

  • Layout: How the register function buttons are shown on the register screen — Hidden, Gray Buttons, or Green/Touch.
  • Reformat capitalization on receipt?: Change item descriptions from the capitalization used in your inventory to the first letter of each word being capitalized.
  • Consolidate duplicate items?: Automatically combine duplicate items into one line when the same item is rung up multiple times.

Click Advanced Settings to expand:

  • Tax Rate Override: Set the tax rate for this individual register. Leave it blank to use your store's normal tax rate.

Configure Key Mapping

To assign keyboard keys to register functions for this register, expand the Settings & Tools section near the bottom of the Register Configuration page and click Configure Key Mapping. This opens the Register Key Mapping page — see Register Key Mapping.
